Installation Procedure

  1. Install the steering wheel to the steering column, observing the alignment marks.
    2. CAUTION:

    Refer to Fastener Caution .

  2. Install a new steering wheel set nut and tighten to 41 N.m (30 lb ft).
  3. Remove J 42640  from the steering column.
  4. Connect the horn electrical connector.
  5. Install the steering wheel inflator module. Refer to Steering Wheel Inflatable Restraint Module Replacement .
