| Condition | I/M flags may reset after the ignition is cycled. DTCs that were stored/set in any module could also be cleared by cycling the ignition. |
| Cause | Aftermarket Fuel Pump Control Module (FPCM). |
CORRECTION
It has been found that some aftermarket fuel pump control modules, may contain an internal terminating resistor for the high speed data bus.
This can interfere with proper operation of the high speed data bus on systems where the OEM design fuel pump control module, does not contain an internal terminating resistor.
Measuring resistance in the high speed data system should be able to identify this concern.
This condition is under review. Information will be updated in SI or the PI will be updated to a Technical Service Bulletin once a permanent repair has been established.
