Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering pump to the power steering bracket. Refer to Power Steering Pump Bracket Replacement (LH2) .
  2. Install the power steering pump with the bracket to the vehicle.

    CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution .
  3. Install the power steering bracket to engine bolts and tighten to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  4. Install the power steering pump to engine mounting bolt and tighten to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).

  5. Install the power steering gear inlet hose to the power steering pump. Tighten the fitting to 40 N.m (30 lb ft).
  6. Install the pipe clip bracket to the pump.
  7. Install the power steering gear inlet pipe clip bracket nut and tighten to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  8. Install the power steering reservoir outlet hose to the power steering pump with the hose clamp.
  9. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
  10. Install the power steering pulley. Refer to Power Steering Pump Pulley Replacement .
  11. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement .
  12. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
  13. Install the front air deflector. Refer to Front Air Deflector Replacement .
