Circuit/System Testing
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the I/P multifunction switch.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp illuminates between the appropriate ignition circuit listed below and ground:
- RPO X88/Z88 ignition circuit terminal 6
- RPO Z75 ignition circuit terminal 4
- If the test lamp does not illuminate, test the ignition circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- Ignition OFF, connect the harness connector at the I/P multifunction switch. Disconnect the X1 harness connector at the object alarm module.
- Ignition ON, verify the park assist disable LED is not illuminated.
- If the LED is illuminated, test the control circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the I/P multifunction switch.
- Install a 10A fused jumper wire between the control circuit terminal 3 and ground. Verify that the park assist disable LED is illuminated.
- If the LED is not illuminated, test the control circuit for a short to voltage or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, test or replace the I/P multifunction switch.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the object alarm module.
