Preliminary Procedure Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection (Sedan,Wagon) . Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement (LF1) . Remove the radiator fan assembly. Refer to Engine Coolant Fan Replacement (LSA) Remove the drive belt. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor and Power Steering Pump Belt Replacement .
1	Generator Battery Terminal Nut CAUTION: Refer to Fastener Caution . Tighten: 10 N.m (89 lb in)
2	Fastener Tighten: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
3	Fastener Tighten: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
4	Fastener Tighten: 50 N.m (37 lb ft)
5	Fastener Tighten: 20 N.m (15 lb ft)
6	Generator Procedure Remove the power steering pressure hose to generator bolt. Disconnect the generator harness connector. Tighten: 9 N.m (80 lb in)
