Removal Procedure

NOTE: If the fuel injectors are leaking, the engine oil may be contaminated with fuel.
  1. Remove the fuel rail. Refer to Fuel Injection Fuel Rail Assembly Replacement .
  2. Remove the fuel injector by pushing the locking tab on the fuel rail toward the center of the fuel rail.
  3. Remove the fuel injector upper O-ring.
  4. Remove the fuel injector lower O-ring.
  5. Discard the injector O-ring seals.
