Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front compartment side sight shield. Refer to Front Compartment Side Sight Shield Replacement .
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection .
    3. Fig 1: Identifying Battery Negative Cable Ground Bolt

  3. Remove the battery negative cable ground bolt (1).
  4. Lift the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .

  5. Remove the Battery Cable Terminal Bolt (1).
  6. Note the routing of the battery negative cable extension cable (2) and remove it from the vehicle.
