Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2008 Cadillac SRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the EBCM.
- Ignition OFF, test for less than 1.0 ohm between the ground circuit terminals E and F to ground.
- If greater than the specified range, test the ground circuits for an open/high resistance.
- Ignition ON, measure between the Battery Positive Voltage circuit terminals A and B/ignition 1 circuit terminal C and ground. The readings should not differ by more than 2 volts than the battery terminal voltage.
- If greater than the specified value, test the Battery Positive Voltage/Ignition 1 circuits for a short to ground or an open/high resistance.
- If the circuit tests normal, replace the EBCM.
