Installation Procedure

  1. Install the generator bracket.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .
  2. Install the generator bracket bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown.

    1. Tighten the generator bracket bolts (1, 2) to 50 N.m (37 lb ft).
    2. Tighten the generator bracket bolt (3) to 23 N.m (17 lb ft).
  3. Install the belt tensioner. Refer to Drive Belt Tensioner Replacement - Generator and Water Pump .
  4. Install the coolant inlet pipe lower bolt from the generator bracket.
  5. Install the generator. Refer to Generator Replacement (LC3)  or Generator Replacement (LH2 w/AWD)  or Generator Replacement (LH2 w/RWD)  or Generator Replacement (LY7) .
