Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear shoulder belt retractor (1). Engage the tab on the retractor (1).
    2. NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  2. Install the seat belt retractor fastener (2).

    Tighten:  Tighten the rear seat retractor fastener to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  3. Route the shoulder belt through the sail panel and verify that it is not twisted.
  4. Install the shoulder belt fastener.

    Tighten:  Tighten the shoulder bolt fastener to 30 N.m (22 lb ft).

  5. Install the sail panel. Refer to Sail Panel Replacement .
  6. Install the rear trim shelf panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Rear Window Shelf .
  7. Install the rear seat back. Refer to Seat Back Replacement - Rear .
  8. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to Rear Seat Cushion Replacement .
