Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering pressure hose to the vehicle.
    2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering gear.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  3. Install the power steering pressure hose to the power steering pump.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fitting to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Install the power steering pump to the bracket. Refer to Power Steering Pump Replacement (RPO LH2)  or Power Steering Pump Replacement (RPO LC3) .
  6. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Power Steering System Bleeding .
