Removal Procedure

  1. Open the driver and passenger doors.
  2. Lower the folding top.
  3. Remove the left and right window filler panel applique. Refer to Side Window Filler Panel Replacement .

  4. Remove the windshield upper garnish molding (3). Refer to Windshield Garnish Molding Replacement .
  5. Remove the screws that retain the windshield weatherstrip (1) to the frame (2).
  6. Remove the windshield weatherstrip (1) from the upper windshield frame retainer.

    Use care when pulling upward to release the windshield weatherstrip from its retainer.

  7. Remove the left and right upper corner screws that retain the windshield weatherstrip to the windshield frame.

    Lift the upper corner flaps of the windshield weatherstrip to expose the screws.

  8. Clean the surface of the windshield weatherstrip retainer of any old sealant material.
