Removal Procedure

  1. Move the seat to the forward position, with the seat back also tilted forward.
  2. CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .
  3. Disconnect the battery.
  4. Remove the door sill trim. Refer to Carpet Retainer Replacement .
  5. Remove the B-pillar trim panel (1). Refer to Body Lock Pillar Trim Panel Replacement .

  7. Remove the mastic cover (1) from the door lock access hole in the body.

  9. Remove the fasteners (1) from the B-Pillar mounted door lock (3).

  11. Remove the lock (1) from the body access hole.

  13. Slide the electrical connector lock (1) to the open position, and remove the connector (2) from the door lock.

  15. Remove the fasteners from rear lock cover securing the cables.
  16. Unseat the cable sheath ends, and remove the lock cover.
  17. Remove the cable ends by rotating the cable a quarter turn to disengage from the lock-actuating lever.
  18. Remove the lock from the vehicle.
