Circuit/System Testing

  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the C1 harness connectors at the LGM.
  2. Ignition ON, verify that B+ is present at the liftgate ajar switch signal circuit terminal 5.
    • If B+ is not present, test the signal circuit for a short to ground or an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the rear wiper motor.
  3. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector at the rear wiper motor.
  4. Ignition ON, verify that voltage is not present at the liftgate ajar switch signal circuit terminal 5 at the LGM C1 harness connector.
    • If voltage is present, test the signal circuit for a short to voltage.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the LGM.
