Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Cadillac SRX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the tail lamp assembly.
  2. Connect the tail lamp electrical connector
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the nuts (1) that secure the tail lamp (2) to the body.

    Tighten:  Tighten the tail lamp nuts to 6 N.m (53 lb in).

  4. For the right side only, install the rear speaker. Refer to Speaker Replacement - Rear in Entertainment.
  5. For the left side only, install the auxiliary blower motor. Refer to Blower Motor Replacement - Auxiliary in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning.
  6. Install the body side rear trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Body Side Rear in Interior Trim.
  7. Close the liftgate.
