Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the fuel injector sight shield. Refer to Fuel Injector Sight Shield Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: PCV Fresh Air Tube

  2. Disconnect the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) fresh air tube quick connect fittings at the camshaft cover and the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Quick Connect Fitting(s) Service (Plastic Collar) .
  3. Remove the PCV fresh air tube.

  4. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the throttle body.
  5. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the throttle body.

  6. Loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor.
  7. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct from the MAF/IAT sensor and the vehicle.

  8. Disconnect the engine harness electrical connector (5) from the throttle actuator.

  9. Remove the transaxle vent hose clip (1) from the shift cable bracket.

  10. Remove the transaxle shift cable clip from the shift cable bracket.

  11. Remove the throttle body bolts.
  12. Remove the shift cable bracket.
  13. Remove the throttle body.
  14. Remove and discard the throttle body seal.
