Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to Intake Manifold Replacement .
    2. Fig 1: CKP Sensor Wiring Harness

  2. Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor wiring harness electrical connector (3) from the right knock sensor, if required.

  3. Disconnect the CKP sensor wiring harness electrical connector (2) from the left knock sensor, if required.

  4. Remove the appropriate knock sensor (cylinder heads shown removed for clarity).
