Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Exhaust Service Caution in Cautions and Notices.
CAUTION: Refer to Protective Goggles and Glove Caution in Cautions and Notices.

  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Install adjustable jack stands under the front and rear of the intermediate pipe.

  4. Loosen the exhaust muffler band clamps (2,5).
  5. Separate the left and right tailpipe/muffler assemblies from the intermediate pipe.

  7. Remove the exhaust pipe hanger lower bolts (3).

  9. Remove the exhaust manifold nuts (2).
  10. Lower the jack stands.
  11. Remove the intermediate pipe from the jack stands.
