Installation Procedure

  1. Position the DSCC module to the bracket.
  2. Fig 1: View DSCC Module Bolts

    NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Hand tighten the three bolts that attach the DSCC module to the bracket.

    Tighten:  Tighten the bolt to 10 N.m (7 lb ft).

  5. Connect the electrical connector (1) to the DSCC module.

  7. Install the DSCC module cover to the fascia (1).

  9. Install the left front section (1) of the air cleaner assembly.
  10. Close the hood.
  11. IMPORTANT: After replacing the DSCC module the next two steps are needed for the ACC system to perform properly.
  12. With the scan tool, change the Automatic Alignment Learn Status Parameter in the DSCC module scan tool data list to Not Aligned after replacing a DSCC module. This allows the new DSCC module to automatically align to the vehicle. Refer to Scan Tool Data List  and Cruise Control Description and Operation (Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)) .
  13. Performance of the ACC system may be degraded after a DSCC module replacement. Normal vehicle driving will correct the performance of the ACC system. Refer to Cruise Control Description and Operation (Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC)) .
