Removal Procedure

  1. Open the door.
  2. Remove the door trim panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (With YE9 Early Production)  or Trim Panel Replacement - Side Front Door (With YE9 Late Production) .
  3. Remove the water deflector. Refer to Water Deflector Replacement - Front Door .
  4. Remove the body-side check strap bolt.
  5. Remove the check strap plug.
  6. Remove the door-side check strap nuts.
  7. Pull the check strap from the inside of the door.
