Installation Procedure

  1. Apply Loctite® to the inner portion of the wheel speed sensor reluctor (2).
  2. Insert the wheel speed sensor reluctor (2) onto the hub assembly.
  3. Install the ring (1) of the J 44253  onto the wheel speed sensor reluctor. See Special Tools and Equipment .

  4. Insert the J 44253  (1). See Special Tools and Equipment .
    5. IMPORTANT: Turn the J 44253  until it just touches the ring of the J 44253  . See Special Tools and Equipment .
  5. Turn the J 44253  (1) to thread the wheel speed sensor reluctor. See Special Tools and Equipment .
  6. Install the wheel speed sensor. Refer to Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear (FE1, FE3) or Wheel Bearing/Hub Replacement - Rear (FE7) in Rear Suspension.
