Installation Procedure

  1. Thoroughly clean the mating surfaces of the CMP sensor and the camshaft bearing cap.
  2. Install the CMP sensor into the camshaft bearing cap.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Install the bolt securing the CMP sensor to the camshaft bearing cap.

    Tighten:  Tighten the CMP sensor bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  5. Attach the KS pigtail retaining clip to the CMP sensor.
  6. Connect the electrical connector to the CMP sensor pigtail.
