Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the hood release cable (1) to the hood latch (2).

  2. Install the hood latch (2) to the hood latch support (1).
    3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the fasteners in order to secure the hood latch (2) to the hood latch support (1).

    Tighten:  Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 lb in).

  4. Slowly lower the hood and check the hood latch for the proper alignment.
  5. Adjust the hood latch as necessary. Refer to Hood Latch Adjustment  .
  6. Install the upper filler panel. Refer to Filler Panel Replacement - Upper  .
  7. Close the hood.
