  1. Inspect the vacuum hoses for splits, kinks, and improper connections or routing.
  2. Inspect Torque Converter Clutch (TCC) operation. See appropriate DIAGNOSIS article in AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
  3. Inspect for a restrictive exhaust system.
