Installation Procedure

NOTE: Refer to COMPONENT FASTENER TIGHTENING NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.

Install the following components to the water crossover (1) if previously removed:
- The ECT sensor (4) and gasket (5)
  Tighten
  
  Tighten the ECT sensor to 18 N.m (13 lb ft).
- The throttle body inlet heater hose fitting (3)
  Tighten
  
  Tighten the throttle body inlet heater hose fitting to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
- The water crossover pipe plug (2)
  Tighten
  
  Tighten the water crossover pipe plug to 5 N.m (44 lb in).
- The heater hose

Install the following to the cylinder heads:
- The upper and lower seals (1)
- The water crossover (4)
- The water crossover fittings (2)
  Tighten
  
  Tighten the water crossover fittings to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).

Connect the electrical connector (3) to the ECT sensor.

Connect the throttle body heater hose (1) to the fitting.
Install the intake manifold. Refer to INTAKE MANIFOLD REPLACEMENT .
Fill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING COOLING SYSTEM .
