Output Speed Sensor: Removal

  1. Remove the transmission oil pan and filter. See DRAINING & REFILLING  under LUBRICATION.
  2. Disconnect the electrical wiring harness connector (3) from the output speed sensor (2). See Fig 1.
  3. Remove the output speed sensor bolt (3). See Fig 2.
  4. Remove the output speed sensor (2).
  5. Remove the output speed sensor spacer (1).
  6. Inspect the output speed sensor (2) for the following conditions:
    • Damaged or missing magnet.
    • Damaged housing.
    • Bent or missing electrical terminals.
