Removal & Installation: Starter: Installation

  1. Position the starter motor to the engine. See Figure .
  2. Install the starter motor mounting bolts. Tighten the starter motor mounting bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect the battery positive cable to the starter and install the starter terminal nut. See Figure . Tighten the battery positive cable to starter terminal nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  4. Connect the lead to the starter solenoid and install the starter solenoid "S" terminal nut. See Figure . Tighten the starter solenoid "S" terminal nut to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  5. Install the starter heat shield. See STARTER SHIELD  .
