Installation Procedure

  1. With the aid of assistant, dry fit the rear window (2) to the opening in order to determine the correct way to position the window in the opening.
  2. Use masking tape (1) in order to mark the location of the rear window (2) in the opening.
  3. Slit the masking tape at the top edge of the rear window.
  4. With the aid of assistant, remove the rear window from the opening.
  5. Place the rear window inside up on a clean, protected surface.

  6. Install the rear window into the opening. Refer to URETHANE ADHESIVE INSTALLATION OF STATIONARY WINDOWS  .
  7. Connect the rear window defogger left electrical connector.

  8. Connect the rear window defogger right electrical connector.
  9. Install the OnStar® antenna.

  10. Install the rear sail panels. Refer to SAIL PANEL REPLACEMENT
  11. Install the rear window lower reveal molding (2).
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE
  12. Install the four rear window lower reveal molding fasteners (1).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fasteners to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  13. Remove the double layer of masking tape around the perimeter of the painted surfaces and the interior trim.
  14. Close the rear compartment lid.
