Shift Control Shift Closeout Boot (5-Speed): Installation
- Install shift control boot and adaptor plate assembly to the vehicle.
- Install the 4 nuts (1) securing shift control adaptor plate to tunnel reinforcement. See Figure . Tighten nuts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Lift up on shift control lever to bring shift control assembly in contact with shift control adaptor plate. Install the 2 bolts (2) securing shift control assembly to shift control adaptor plate. Tighten bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the electrical connector (1) to shift control adaptor plate (2). See Figure .
- Install sound insulator foam block into the console. Install shift control knob/boot assembly. See SHIFT CONTROL KNOB (6-SPEED) .
