Torque Converter Clutch/Cruise Control Release Switch

NOTE: Illustration of TCC cruise release switch is not available from the manufacturer.
  1. Remove the left closeout/insulator panel as follows:
    1. Remove the screws (2) securing the closeout panel to the I/P. See Fig 1.
    2. Disconnect the courtesy lamp electrical connector (1).
    3. Remove the closeout panel from the I/P.
  2. With the brake pedal depressed, insert the TCC cruise release switch into the retainer until the switch body seats in the retainer. Switch is located on brake pedal support.
  3. Note that CLICKS can be heard as the threaded portion of the switch is pushed through the retainer.
  4. Slowly pull the brake pedal fully rearward against the stop until the CLICK sound can no longer be heard. The switch will be moved in the retainer providing proper adjustment.
  5. Install the left closeout/insulator panel.
    1. Connect the courtesy lamp electrical connector (1). See Fig 1.
    2. Align the closeout panel on the I/P.
    3. Install the closeout retaining fastener (2). Tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
