Installation Procedure

  1. Install the power steering flow control valve (3) to the power steering pump,
    NOTE: FASTENER NOTICE in Cautions and Notices.
  2. Install the power steering pump fitting (5) to the power steering pump.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the power steering pump fitting to 75 N.m (55 lb ft).

  3. Install the power steering pressure hose (1) to the power steering pump (2).

    Tighten 

    Tighten the power steering pressure hose at the power steering pump to 27 N.m (20 lb ft).

  4. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering System 
  5. Inspect the power steering system for leaks.
