Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the right front gusset. Refer to SPLASH SHIELD REPLACEMENT - ENGINE in Body Front End.
  2. Disconnect the battery negative cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnect/Connect Procedure .
  3. Disconnect the positive battery cable from the battery.

  4. Remove the battery retainer bolt and battery retainer.
  5. Remove the battery from the vehicle.
