Installation Procedure

  1. Apply Loctite® to the inner portion of the wheel speed sensor reluctor (2).
  2. Insert the wheel speed sensor reluctor (2) onto the hub assembly.
  3. Install the ring (1) of the J 44253  ABS reluctor installer onto the wheel speed sensor reluctor.
  4. Insert the J 44253  ABS reluctor installer (1).
    IMPORTANT: Turn the J 44253  until it just touches the ring of the J 44253  .

  5. Turn the J 44253  ABS reluctor installer (1) to thread the wheel speed sensor reluctor.
  6. Install the wheel speed sensor. Refer to WHEEL BEARING/HUB REPLACEMENT - REAR (FE1, FE or WHEEL BEARING/HUB REPLACEMENT - REAR (FE7) .
