Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Cadillac Eldorado. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Position the carpet retainer over the shoulder belt retractor.
  2. Guide the seat belt through the opening in the carpet retainer.
  3. Secure the opening in the cover with the clear plastic retainer clip.
  4. Position the carpet retainer over the clips.

  5. Push downward on the retainer in order to engage the clips to the rocker panel.
    NOTE: Refer to FASTENER NOTICE .
  6. Install the fastener that retains the rear of the carpet retainer.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the fastener to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

  7. Install the rear seat cushion. Refer to SEAT CUSHION REPLACEMENT - REAR .
