Parallel Parking Mode

Vehicle are equipped with optional parallel parking mode feature. For this feature, Driver Door Module (DDM) communicates with Powertrain Control Module (PCM) over class 2 data link. When gear selector is shifted to Reverse, PCM transmits status through a class 2 message to DDM. DDM then supplies battery voltage and ground to vertical motor of right side outside rear view mirror to tilt mirror down 7 degrees. This allows driver to see curb while parallel parking.
