Theft Deterrent Control Module: Removal

  1. Disable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
  2. Remove steering column trim covers. See STEERING COLUMN SWITCHES - DEVILLE article.
  3. Remove wire harness assembly (4) from wire harness strap (5). See Figure .
  4. Remove wire harness straps (3) from wire harness assembly.
  5. Remove wire harness strap (2) from upper tilt head assembly (1).
  6. Disconnect theft deterrent module electrical connector.
  7. Remove theft deterrent module (2) from lock module assembly. See Figure .
