Theft Deterrent Control Module: Installation

1. Install theft deterrent module (2) to lock module (1). See Fig 2 .
2. Route wiring harness and connect electrical connector.
3. Install a new wire harness strap to upper tilt head assembly (2). See Fig 1 .
4. Install new wire harness straps to wire harness assembly (3).
5. Install wire harness assembly into wire harness strap (5).
6. Connect theft deterrent module electrical connector.
7. Install steering column trim covers.
8. Enable air bag system. See appropriate AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS article.
9. Program theft deterrent module. See PROGRAMMING THEFT DETERRENT SYSTEM COMPONENTS  under PROGRAMMING.
