Instrument Panel Integration Module

Contained within HVAC control panel, Instrument Panel Integration Module (IPM) is used to control operation of HVAC system. IPM allows operator selected functions from HVAC control panel to be communicated. All actuators in system are electronically controlled and provide a feedback signal to indicate valve position. Actuators controlled electronically by IPM include driver's air mix, passenger's air mix, mode control, and air inlet. IPM is equipped with a self-diagnostic function. PCM and IPM monitor operating conditions for possible system malfunctions. If a fault is detected, a DTC will be set in memory.
