Circuit Description
The Engine Oil Level (EOL) switch is a simple float-type switch. Switch grounds when oil level is at proper level. PCM applies an ignition voltage to switch input circuit through a pull-up resistor. With ignition on and engine off, PCM should detect a low voltage input on switch circuit. With engine running, PCM should detect a transition from a low voltage to a high voltage input on switch circuit. If PCM detects a low signal voltage (full oil level), and/or PCM does not detect a switch transition with engine running, DTC will set.
