If warpage is less than .002" (.05 mm), it is not necessary to resurface cylinder head. If warpage is .002-.008" (.05-.20 mm), resurface cylinder head. After resurfacing, measure distance between gasket surface and gauge pad. See Figure. If distance is less than .413" (10.50 mm), replace cylinder head.
