CTD System Does Not Disarm With Key Lock

  1. Check CTD system. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. Go to next step.
  2. Install scan tool. Turn ignition on. Select BCM. Select DATA LIST, then select INPUT. Observe door key unlock switch. Using key, lock and unlock door with faulty switch. If input cycles from ON to OFF, check CTD system. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  under TROUBLE SHOOTING. If input does not cycle, go to next step.
  3. Disconnect BCM connector C1. Measure resistance between BCM harness connector C1, terminal B4 (Light Green/Black wire) and ground while unlocking left front door using key. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check for open circuit or poor connection in Light Green/Black wire or Black/White wire between left front door unlock switch and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace switch. Recheck system.
  4. Measure resistance between BCM harness connector C1, terminal A4 (Light Green wire) and ground while unlocking right front door using key. If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, check for open circuit or poor connection in Light Green wire or Black/White wire between right front door unlock switch and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary. If no problem is found, replace switch. Recheck system.
  5. Replace BCM. See appropriate BODY CONTROL MODULES article. Recheck system.
