NOTE: On some vehicles, the power door lock system is integrated with the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system. For information on RKE, see appropriate REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEMS article.

The Body Control Module (BCM) is also referred to as Platform Zone Module (BCM). BCM locks and unlocks all doors by the following conditions:

BCM is responsible for energizing the door lock/unlock relays. Relays will be energized whenever BCM receives a command from the door lock switch input or a class 2 serial data message from the Remote Function Actuator (RFA). BCM is capable of setting 3 personalized lock/unlock options/modes. See PROGRAMMING  .
