CTD System

  1. Remove key from ignition. Open left front window. Lock doors using remote keyless entry transmitter. Wait 45 seconds, then reach in through window and unlock door using inside left front door manual lock knob. Open door. If low beams, exterior lights and horns activate about once per second, go to next step. If low beams, exterior lights and horns do not activate about once per second, see CTD SYSTEM ALARM MODE INOPERATIVE  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  2. Unlock doors using remote keyless entry transmitter. If system does not deactivate, see CTD SYSTEM ALARM MODE INOPERATIVE  . If system deactivates, sit in vehicle and lock doors using remote keyless entry transmitter. Wait 45 seconds, then turn ignition switch to RUN position. If low beams, exterior lights and horns activate about once per second, go to next step. If low beams, exterior lights and horns do not activate about once per second, see CTD SYSTEM ALARM MODE INOPERATIVE  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  3. Remove key from ignition. Use remote keyless entry transmitter to lock doors. Wait 45 seconds, then use key to unlock left door. Open door. If system enters stand by mode, go to next step. If system goes into alarm mode, see CTD SYSTEM DOES NOT DISARM WITH KEY LOCK  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  4. Close all doors. Use remote keyless entry transmitter to lock doors. Wait 45 seconds, then use key to unlock right door. Open door. If system enters stand by mode, go to next step. If system goes into alarm mode, see CTD SYSTEM DOES NOT DISARM WITH KEY LOCK  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
  5. Open right front window. Lock doors using remote keyless entry transmitter. Wait 45 seconds, then reach in through window and unlock door using inside right front door manual lock knob. Open door. If low beams, exterior lights and horns activate about once per second, system is operating normally, no further diagnosis is necessary. If low beams, exterior lights and horns do not activate about once per second, see CTD SYSTEM ALARM MODE INOPERATIVE  under SYMPTOM TESTS.
