DTC B2473: High Beam Fault: Testing
- If lighting system diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If lighting system has not been performed, go to LIGHTING SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
- Turn headlight switch on. Remove high/low beam headlight relay from underhood relay center. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and high/low headlight relay connector terminal C9 (Orange/Black wire). See HEADLIGHT SYSTEMS & DAYTIME RUNNING LIGHTS article. If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step 7 .
- Using DVOM, measure voltage between high/low headlight relay connector terminals C9 (Orange/Black wire) and D7 (Black/White wire). If battery voltage is indicated, go to next step. If battery voltage is not indicated, go to step 5 .
- Replace high/low headlight relay. After repairs, go to step 9 .
- Check for open in Black/White wire between PZM and high/low headlight relay. If faulty circuit is found, go to next step. If circuit is okay, go to step 8 .
- Replace PZM. See PLATFORM ZONE MODULE (PZM) under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to step 8 .
- Repair open or short to ground in Orange wire between high/low headlight relay and rear compartment fuse block. After repairs, go to step 8 .
- Repair open in Black/White wire. After repairs, go to next step.
- Use scan tool to clear DTCs. Recheck system operation. Recheck for DTCs. If DTC resets, go to step 2 . If DTC does not reset, repair is complete.
