DTC B1755: Driver Seat Assembly Forward Switch Circuit Malfunction: Description

When driver's power seat switches are pressed, a battery voltage signal is sent to Memory Seat Module (MSM). MSM commands driver seat to move in response to switch inputs. DTC B1755 will not set if B1327 or B1328 are set as current.

If seat switch is sensed as pressed for 30 seconds after motor controlled by that switch reaches end of travel, the switch is considered shorted and MSM will set DTC B1755. When DTC B1755 is set, motor driven by that switch will be deactivated in both directions. All memory recall commands will be ignored. MSM will continue to respond to any other switch input that has not set a DTC.

DTC will automatically clear when condition for setting DTC B1755 is no longer active.
