DTC 52: Reprogram Cluster: Testing

  1. If instrument cluster diagnostic system check has been performed, go to next step. If instrument cluster diagnostic system check has not been performed, go to INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM.
  2. Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Select PROGRAMMING from SPECIAL FUNCTIONS menu. Follow programming instructions on display screen. If programming is successful, repeat diagnostic system check. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If programming is not successful, go to next step.
  3. Check power and ground circuits to instrument cluster. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Repair as necessary. If circuits are okay, replace instrument cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition on. Check for current and history DTCs. If any current DTCs exist, repair as necessary. If any history DTCs exist, clear history codes. System is okay.
