Retrieving Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCS)
NOTE:
Scan tool or On-Board Service Diagnostic (OBSD) can be used to display DTCs. Procedures to retrieve DTCs with Driver's Information Center (DIC) were unavailable at time of publication.
Connect scan tool to Data Link Connector (DLC). Follow manufacture's instructions to retrieve DTCs from appropriate modules. Perform appropriate test in accordance with DTC(s) retrieved. See BODY CONTROL SYSTEM DTC DEFINITIONS table. Most diagnostic test procedures will refer to scan tool for diagnostic support. Refer to scan tool manufacturer's instructions.
