DTC B1972: Low Power Output Fault: Testing

  1. Perform BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS. Go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect PZM connectors. Remove PZM fuse (10-amp) located in trunk compartment fuse block. Using DVOM, measure resistance between PZM Brown 32-pin connector C2 terminal C2 (Orange wire) and ground. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . If resistance is 5 ohms or less, go to next step. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, go to step  4 .
  3. Repair short to ground in Orange wire between trunk compartment fuse block and PZM. After repairs, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
  4. Replace PZM. See PLATFORM ZONE MODULE (PZM)  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs, go to BODY CONTROL MODULE DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK  under SYSTEM TESTS.
