Test 7: Right Front Window Inoperative
- If power window system check was performed, go to next step. If power window system check was not performed, perform system check. See SYSTEM CHECK under TROUBLE SHOOTING.
- Close all doors. Disconnect right front window regulator motor connector. Using DVOM connected to ground, measure voltage at right front window regulator motor connector terminal No. 1 (Red wire). If battery voltage exists, go to step 4 . If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
- Repair open or high resistance in Red wire between right front window regulator motor connector terminal No. 1 and splice S271. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repair is complete, go to step 13 .
- Using DVOM connected to ground, measure resistance of Black wire at right front window regulator motor connector terminal No. 4. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to step 6 . If resistance is 5 ohms or more, go to next step.
- Repair open or high resistance in Black wire between right front window regulator motor connector terminal No. 4 and splice S602. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . After repair is complete, go to step 13 .
- Turn ignition switch to RUN position. Using DVOM connected to ground, measure voltage at right front window regulator motor connector terminal No. 5 (Yellow wire). If battery voltage exists, go to step 8 . If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
- Repair open or high resistance in Yellow wire between left front window regulator motor connector terminal No. 5 and splice S313. After repair is complete, go to step 13 .
- Press right front window switch to UP position. Using DVOM connected to ground, measure voltage at right front window regulator motor connector terminal No. 2 (Gray/Green wire). If battery voltage exists, go to step 10 . If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
- Check for open or high resistance in Gray/Green wire between right front window switch and right front window regulator motor connector terminal No. 2. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary. If Gray/Green wire is okay, replace right front window switch. See WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repair is complete, go to step 13 .
- Press right front window switch to DOWN position. Using DVOM connected to ground, measure voltage at right front window regulator motor connector terminal No. 3 (Blue/Red wire). If battery voltage exists, go to step 12 . If battery voltage does not exist, go to next step.
- Check for open or high resistance in Blue/Red wire between right front window switch and right front window regulator motor connector terminal No. 3. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . Repair as necessary. If Blue/Red wire is okay, replace right front window switch. See WINDOW SWITCH under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repair is complete, go to step 13 .
- Replace right front window regulator motor. See WINDOW REGULATOR & MOTOR under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repair is complete, go to next step.
- Connect all connectors and components that were disconnected. Verify right front window operates properly. If right front window does not operate properly, go to step 1 .
