System Check
- Press mirror select switch to left mirror position. Operate left mirror to left, right, up and down positions. Mirror should operate as commanded in all positions. Press mirror select switch to right mirror position. Operate right mirror to left, right, up and down positions. Mirror should operate as commanded in all positions.
- If vehicle is equipped with memory mirror option, go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with memory mirror option and power mirrors do not function properly, perform appropriate system test. See SYMPTOM INDEX table under SYSTEM TESTS.
- On vehicles with memory mirror option, press memory No. 1 button. A single beep should be heard, and both mirrors should move to positions programmed for memory No. 1 button. Press memory No. 2 button. A single beep should be heard, and both mirrors should move to positions programmed for memory No. 2 button.
- Press memory No. 3 button. A single beep should be heard, and both mirrors should move to positions programmed for memory No. 3 button. If vehicle is equipped with parallel park mirror option, turn ignition switch to RUN position. Move shift lever to Reverse. Right mirror should tilt downward approximately 7 degrees, or to end of travel.
- If power mirror system does not function properly, check for any Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs). See RETRIEVING DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODES (DTCS) under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. If any DTCs are displayed, perform appropriate diagnostic test. If no DTCs are displayed, perform appropriate system test. See SYMPTOM INDEX table under SYSTEM TESTS.
